Biography

Grace McMahon is a light lyric soprano originally from Jefferson, Wisconsin. She is completing her master’s degree in vocal performance at Louisiana State University, where she holds a graduate teaching assistantship and studies under Sandra Moon. She received her BA in Music from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee in 2024. Grace was a recent winner of the Dean’s Aria Competition at LSU. She also was awarded the 1st prize Edith Newfield Award at the Musicians Club of Women Vocal Competition in 2024. This coming March Grace is looking forward to singing Juliette in the LSU Turner-Fischer Center for Opera’s production of Roméo et Juliette. Some of Grace’s other recent roles include Susanna in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro, Nannetta in Verdi’s Falstaff, Cundegonde in Bernstein's Candide, Adina in Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore, Suor Genovieffa in Puccini’s Suor Angelica, Adele in Strauss’ Die Fledermaus, and Beth in Mark Adamo’s Little Women.
